10. Anywhere but University Hall – few venture here, and even fewer ever return to civilization.
9. Library study rooms – perfect for those afraid to sleep and drool in public. These rooms are also ideal for "group projects," though don't forget that a closed door does not make the room sound-proof.
8. The Mountain Lion statue – ideal location for first semester Facebook and Twitter profile pics. Though take caution of anyone with clipboards circling the Lion if you are short on time.
7. Fourth-floor bathrooms in Columbine – always deserted, and though they are smaller than the first floor's, they can be used for that much needed personal time. You know what this means.
6. The Overlook and Jazzman's – perfect for that awkward first date with the boy or girl you sit next to in freshman seminar. Snacks can also be used to cope with the long classes you're not quite used to. Eat your snack rather than stab the loud mouth to your left with your pencil.
5. The Lodge – aka Edna. "Late Night," one of the Lodge's specialties, will tighten your pants, but the endless supply of ice cream will leave a lasting smile on your face.
4. The new Gallogly Events Center – 100X better than the Lion's Den. Enough said.
3. The Student Recreation Center – a great place to work out while developing those fleeting but shallow crushes. Participation in intramurals is a great way to meet new people as well as develop a few enemies if you play the game too hard.
2. Sherpa Trail – more commonly known as "the path behind the Rec." This trail is perfect for magical wildlife encounters, midnight strolls and views of Pikes Peak. Benches provide a place of solitude during those episodes of "deep thinking."
1. The Bluffs – Climb high enough and you will find a set of pull-up bars and the motivation, even if you haven't done a pull-up in a while, to try anyway. Most importantly, you will fully appreciate the school, people and life below you.
