I have 450 items in my Scribe folder on my computer, not counting my campus drive.

I have written 20 something editorials, almost a hundred celebrity gossip columns, a few columns and an endless amount of articles, which have even been repeated.

I have been a reporter.

I have been an advertising manager.

I have two published photos (that were not blurry on my own account).

I have managed 28 issues from start to finish.

I have called public safety for three Scribe-related instances.

I have cleaned out a disgusting hole of an office.

I have cleaned the fridge in said office at least three times.

I have never cleaned the microwave in said office (some things are too deadly).

I have lost a friend.

I have gained more friends than I thought possible.

I have made some enemies along the way.

I have been kicked out of The Scribe office.

I have wanted to quit numerous times.

I have stayed up at night wondering who was going to yell at me the next day.

I have walked in a room to more stares than I’d like. Actually, I do like it, it’s fun.

I have finally met the Chancellor and you should too. She’s pretty nice.

I have applied to be Editor-in-Chief three times.

I have dissed Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and countless celebrities for no reason.

I have met people to only find out they already knew who I was because of my picture in The Scribe.

I have launched The Scribe’s website and then watched the page views rise, to 1,200 for the 4-20 issue.

I have had said picture pointed at while in class and asked if that was me.

I have scoured campus late at night to count how many copies of The Scribe were taken in two days- 650.

I have led a staff of 30 people to calls at random hours, hundreds of emails and texts.

I have spoken/text/called my managing editor more than my own parents.

I have seen Facebook comments bashing me more than I care to.

I have heard many a nickname for The Scribe, my favorite being The Scribble.

I have seen a staff pull together through every controversy that was thrown at it.

I have been at The Scribe for three years and it is time to move on.

While I have done all of these things, this job has taught me what I hope most can see as a memorable experience. College is after all, a memorable experience that we can look back on and remember for the good and the bad. My time at UCCS has been good and it has been bad, but it really depends on how you look at it.

It taught me to never give up in the worst of times, to learn to work with people you disagree with and to hold out for what you believe can be a better day.
